The book is not about Helen's story during the Trojan War. It is clearly designed as a retelling of one piece of the mythology surrounding Helen, not her entire story. If you want to know what happens next, read the Iliad and the Odyssey by Homer. Maybe even try the Aeneid by Virgil. Homer and Virgil also end their works with what you may deem "abrupt" endings because they were retelling only a piece or an episode of Greek and Roman mythology. Ms. Carosella has embraced and followed that tradition. It is absurd to expect a rewrite of the Iliad. We already have the Iliad. Now we also have a great retelling of an earlier chapter in the mythology of Helen. Recommended!
