How to Train Your Dragon

Don't judge these books by the movie!!! It is a completely different experience. This is our family's favorite series of books. My mature 8 year old daughter loves it and so do her parents. The adventures only get better as you make your way through the series, with thrilling plot twists and turns. Hiccup is a great hero and his foils Fishlegs and Camacazi are wonderful. Camacazi is a fantastic wild-haired female character who is fearless and bold. We adore her. Cressida Cowell is one of the finest writers around and her prose is really stunning in these books - beautiful illustrative language! Between the adventure, tales of friendship, and a good dose of potty humor, kids and adults will find much to love in these incredible books. I strongly recommend reading them out loud with your child!

He doesn't feel as if he is living up to the viking expectations as he listens to Goober the Belch scream out instructions. He is about to go into the dragon's cave to get his hunting dragon that will serve him the rest of his life. He faces many other pearls in this hilarious adventure!

The characters will suck you in so you won't want to put the book down. I recommend this book for people of all ages because you don't need to be a advanced reader to understand it. Awesome read!
