Awesome series. It may be technically in the zombie genre but it has so much more to do with human interaction. Life after any disaster would be a trial in the modern world, we see them dealing with the"normal" horrors of the aftermath and then throw in the zombies and you have an exciting read!
I recommend it to everyone of a mature audience. The book contains inappropriate language, violence and gore. The book was adapted into a television series The Walking Dead. The T.V show is loosely based on the comic. It follows the outline of the comic, but strays at times. The story was amazing and hard to put down.

The world we knew is gone. The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled: no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. In a world ruled by the dead, the survivors are forced to finally start living.
