Great continuation (although technically different) of the Odyssey Series. Currie continues to show alternative ideas for science fiction that seem plausible and possible. A very good, quick read as the story moves you along quickly. The integration of previous enemies (now combined against a common, outside foe – typical theme, but good nonetheless) is intriguing and purposefully rocky. Thoroughly enjoyed Currie’s other Odyssey series that leads to this book, despite some questionable ending (or not) to characters in those books, but it helps lead to a fun read for this one which helps build on a previously set foundation (instead of building a new one altogether).

As expected from this author, this book was an excellent read. As is usually the case when introducing new characters the book Started a little slow, but that included a short update from our friends from the earlier books. Dr. Palin was in the new crew and he didn’t disappoint in driving the officers crazy. The concept of the old base has been done many times, but rarely better. The door is certainly open for more books about the rouge class ship as they were given a new mission at he end of this book.
