There are 5 factions: Abnegation, who can't be self-indulgent and serves others, they wear gray cloths. Dauntless, who are fearless risk takers, they have tattoos and piercings and are Brave. Candor who wear black and white, vlaue honesty and always tell the truth. Amity who wear yellow and red they grow crops, sing, have fun. The main people in the book will experiance War, love, betrail, pain. Some will grow close, some will kill, some will fall in love, some will experiance life as they have never know it. The main group are very young and are trying to find the true path to take. The books are well writen and eazy to read and once you get into them you can't put them down.
I recommend this series and feel you should get all three at once. You don't want to quite one with out having the other around to dive into. Good books, good story, worth the read.
